Joss Whedon shares Avengers Assemble sequel script excitement

Acclaimed filmmaker Joss Whedon has discussed the script for the eagerly awaited follow up to blockbuster hit Avengers Assemble.

Whedon revealed to Digital Spy "I have a greater opportunity to dig into the relationships in the second one, and that's what's really exciting about it for me."

The sequel to Avengers Assemble will see the return of Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo and Samuel L. Jackson and is expected to hit cinemas in May 2015.

Whedon recently premiered his Shakespearean comedy Much Ado About Nothing at the Glasgow Film Festival, the film is on general release in June.
