Kat & Kat Are Proud To Present The Lockdown Comedy Series LADS Launching On Vimeo On Demand This Easter Weekend

Lockdown life has been tough on most of us, but for Kat & Kat this time was used to create a comedy TV show phenomenon. Written, produced and directed by the leading stars Kat Ronson and Katerina Robinson, ‘Lads’ is a 6-part comedy series based on the stereotype of men in our society, due to be released on Vimeo on Demand on 2nd April.

Hailed as the 21st century ‘Kevin & Perry’ duo, this mockumentary follows two teenage boys from East London; ‘Dave’ (played by Ronson) who has anger issues, and ‘Charlie’ (played by Robinson) who’s mum still chooses what clothes to wear. The series highlights typical bloke behaviour in classic scenarios, creating belly-chuckling moments.

Filmed mostly in their flat and based on improvisation and comedy genius, the series idea was born from their hugely popular Instagram clips, some would say this is the new age of comedy. The raw and quality comedy content really brings to light today’s sexualisation, in a shrewd and rib-tickling way.

The observational comedy on male dynamics brings a tongue and cheek tone to the series. Men will relate in a humorous way and women will find their male partner traits in these characters.

Kat & Kat’s career background is based on their looks and body so when it comes to comedy content, they both love to discuss sex and dating on stage (often a subject that is frowned upon if you are a woman). They quote “a woman should never apologise for enjoying or talking about sex, we find it very liberating and empowering and not afraid to speak out.”

Kat & Kat produce regular comedy content and have also performed at Edinburgh Fringe, Camden Fringe and Brighton Fringe Festival. Their stand-up sketch show "The Whoreing Twenties" will be debuting later this year at the Museum of Comedy (date TBC).
