The reshoots of the most eagerly awaited finale has now been complete. It was reported that the final scenes had to be reshot, the epilogue in particular was necessary to reshoot as Daniel Radcliffe explained in his recent interview

"It was an interesting one, because I think we made it very hard on ourselves, because we shot it at King’s Cross [Train Station], for real. And, you know, this time we’ll be shooting it in Leavesden on a set, because it’s...We made it very hard on ourselves. To have to rush that sequence, and it’s an important sequence, is not something that any of us want to do. So I think next time, when we come back to it and revisit certain moments in it, we’ll be trying to keep it paced slowly..."

While Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 is released on July 15 in the UK, the film has still managed to make additions to the cast including Kelly Macdonald and Bertie Gilbert.

Kelly MacDonald has joined the cast as the Grey Lady, the Ravenclaw house ghost. The character plays a pivotal, albeit brief, role in the final chapters of J.K. Rowling's novel. Bertie Gilbert will play Scorpius Malfoy, the son of Draco (Tom Felton) while Benedict Clarke will make his acting debut as a Young Severus Snape. It is not yet known whether the young Snape will be used in flashbacks or not.
