Kimberley Marren talks to Lisa Cholodenko, Julianne Moore and Mark Ruffalo at the London premiere of The Kids Are All Right

The Fan Carpet were lucky enough to attend the London premiere of The Kids Are All Right during the 54th London Film Festival. The film stars Julianne Moore and Annette Bening as a same sex married couple with two children played by the brilliant Mia Wasikowska and Josh Hutcherson and explores the family dynamic when the biological father (Mark Ruffalo) is thrown into the mix.
Our presenter Kimberley Marren returns to the red carpet in the freezing winter conditions of London's Leicester Square to talk to director Lisa Cholodenko and her actors Julianne Moore and Mark Ruffalo.
Lisa commented about Julianne's dedication to the role, she said "Julianne was someone I had always wanted to work with, we had known each other a little bit so I sent her the script when I had just finished up the first draft. She said she wanted to do it and stayed true and hung in there for four years."
Mak Rufflalo loved his character of Paul he said "The script was a great script, I loved the message of it. I loved that it felt honest like a true gay family that was having its problems. But it felt like any other family to me. I just loved the character of Paul, he's fun, I think he's got a good heart but at the same time he's a child."
Looking radiant, Julianne Moore said that "I think movies reflect popular culture, I don't think this movie would exist if there weren't families like this all over the world. So the great thing is that it's really a reflection of what's going on culturally, everywhere."
