Kirsten Dunst isn’t worried

22 May 2010

Former Mary Jane Watson actress Kirsten Dunst who recently debuted her first short film Bastard at the Cannes Film Festival's Critics' Week isn't worried about working with Danish director Lars Von Trier on new film 'Melancholia' which will also star Kiefer Sutherland, John Hurt, Charlotte Rampling, Alexander Skarsgaard, his father Stellan Skarsgaard and The Kingdom’s big scary baby Udo Kier. The film will also reunite Lars with Charlotte Gainsbourg from his last film 'Antichrist' which featured graphic scenes of genital mutilation.

She says "Everyone who's worked with Lars, that I know, has really liked the experience, I think it's good to push your actors, that's what you want out of a director."

The actress described von Trier as "one of the great auteurs of our time", adding: "For me it's an incredible honour. I'm not worried. The last movie I did a lot, it was pretty heavy duty."
