Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner take to the black carpet for the UK premiere of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1

Our friends over at Filmbeat were lucky enough to attend the star-studded UK premiere of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 at the Westfield Stratford City.

Franchise stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner were in attendance with director Bill Condon.

When talking about the film, Lautner said "Yeah last time we saw them get engaged and this one kicks off with that wedding, it's time to tie the knot. It's very exciting, the movie starts very happy and very beautiful and then after the Honeymoon it quickly goes down hill from there."

While his co-star Stewart added "We reach a point of sheer exuberance in this movie, that we haven't gotten to in the others; rightfully. We're all angst and confused in the best way, and then in this everyone sort of becomes a clear version of themselves, and they know what they want, and I get what I want, finally, and I don't seem so crazy anymore."

When talking about his director Bill Condon, Pattinson said "Bill's great, he's really funny and really good natured and very sensitive to the material. We were working for eight months, six days a week, for like fifteen hours a day people can go crazy, when you have a bunch of like eighty actors all wearing contact lenses with a myriad of complaints all the time, and Bill stayed pretty sane and nice to everyone, it's quite impressive."

Stewart added "I love Bill, he's truly connected to his heart, he's not afraid of some of the really earnest bits of the movie because he really does believe in some of love story aspects and some things that could be really cheesy and corny to some people, that's contagious. I mean he loves it, suddenly you go 'wow those sentimental moments work.'"

While director Bill Condon said about the cast "They're young and so eager to top themselves each time, so they're really serious actors."

In the highly anticipated next chapter of the blockbuster The Twilight Saga, the newfound married bliss of Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) is cut short when a series of betrayals and misfortunes threatens to destroy their world.
