Laura Dern + Joaquin Phoenix Attend 92nd Academy Awards Champagne Reception At The Biltmore Mayfair in London
LAURA DERN, JOAQUIN PHOENIX AND JONATHAN PRYCE AMONGST STARS IN ATTENDANCE AT 92ND ACADEMY AWARDS CHAMPAGNE RECEPTION AT THE BILTMORE MAYFAIR
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences celebrated the 2019 Oscar nominees tonight with a Champagne Reception at The Biltmore Mayfair, hosted by the European office of the Academy.
The glamorous event was attended by numerous Oscar nominees including Laura Dern (Supporting Actress, Marriage Story, Joaquin Phoenix (Actor in a Leading Role, Joker), Jonathan Pryce (Actor in a Leading Role, The Two Popes and Todd Phillips (Best Picture, Joker).
Additional nominees in attendance included producer David Heyman (Best Picture for Marriage Story, Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood), cinematographer Roger Deakins (1917), producer Pippa Harris (1917) and costume designer Sandy Powell (The Irishman).
Carola Ash, Director of Member Relations and Programming, Europe, said “I am delighted to welcome this year’s nominees and past nominees and winners which include a range of talent; from fresh newcomers to established industry veterans at the height of their careers. This event is just one of the initiatives the Academy conducts year-round in Europe to support its Members and we’re delighted so many could join us from around the world.”
Guests were in a festive spirit as they sipped on glasses of Piper-Heidsieck champagne and enjoyed a selection of canapés.
