Lily James + Alicia Vikander Confirmed To Star In ONE RED NOSE DAY AND A WEDDING Airing Exclusively On BBC One TONIGHT

Comic Relief is thrilled to confirm that Lily James (MAMMA MIA! HERE WE GO AGAIN, BABY DRIVER) and OscarÒ winner Alicia Vikander (THE DANISH GIRL, TOMB RAIDER) are starring in ONE RED NOSE DAY AND A WEDDING.

The short film will premiere exclusively tonight as a one off special during Red Nose Day on BBC One starting at 7:00pm GMT.

The short film will reunite the cast of Four Weddings and a Funeral for the first time in 25 years, with the full support from Four Weddings and a Funeral rights holder Metro Goldwyn Mayer Studios Inc (MGM).

Richard Curtis, who wrote the original film and is the co-founder of Red Nose Day, has written the short especially for the 2019 edition of Red Nose Day.

“I am delighted to finally be able to reveal that Lily James and Alicia Vikander will appear as our very special guests in ONE RED NOSE DAY AND A WEDDING. I can’t wait for audiences to tune in and discover what’s happening to our characters and their families 25 years on…”, said Curtis.

ONE RED NOSE DAY AND A WEDDING will feature original Four Weddings cast members Hugh Grant, Andie MacDowell, Kristin Scott Thomas, John Hannah, Rowan Atkinson, James Fleet, David Haig, Sophie Thompson, David Bower, Robin McCaffrey, Anna Chancellor, Rupert Vansittart, Simon Kunz, Sara Crowe and Timothy Walker.

Four Weddings director Mike Newell is returning to direct this new instalment, which picks up 25 years after the original film.

ONE RED NOSE DAY AND A WEDDING follows on from the huge success of Red Nose Day Actually, a short follow up to Love Actually that premiered during Red Nose Day’s 2017 edition.

The short will also feature as part of NBC’s programming for Red Nose Day USA on Thursday, 23rd May.
