Set over a backdrop of driving through Scotland, POUR ME A GLASS OF TOMORROW, is the latest song from The Fan Carpet’s Music Supervisor Corinna Jane!

Released on MOTHER’S DAY, I wish to share with you a song that’s very close to my heart that I am dedicating to my mother who passed away last year and I miss even more during times like these.

Corinna said “Pour Me A Glass Of Tomorrow was a song born out of something quite humorous that my mother had accidentally said one dinner time when asking for a glass of wine (which being a French woman is always an essential and wise request). Amused by this statement, I remarked how this would make a good title for a country song.

At the time I was going through a little heartache and spent a lot of time in contemplation whilst observing the world around me. It became a song about life's rich tapestry and navigating a way around challenging times. It's a song about seeing the world continuing to turn while you're going through your own inner turmoil.

However, fast forward a couple of years and the song took on a whole new and more profound meaning when my mother passed away in 2019. While she was in hospital, my guitarist Luke Wood and I recorded this one evening. I was overcome with fear and emotion at the prospect of what was about to happen. What you hear is a live emotionally raw performance that was recorded in one take. This subsequently became the song we had played at her funeral; a song that would never have been written without her. She never got to hear this, but I firmly believe she's been listening in spirit.”
