Rakuten TV sees us into April with a selection of the very best new releases, available in 4K HDR, all at the click of a button on your Smart TV.

New to the platform this April is the Oscar and BAFTA award-winning, smash-hit film Little Women (4K HDR). Based on the classic novel by Louisa May Alcott and directed by Greta Gerwig this title is a triumphant literary adaptation. Starring Saoirse Ronan, Florence Pugh, Emma Watson, its heart-warming portrayal of sisterhood, female relationships and creative ambition will have you laughing and crying in equal measure. 

The wait is over for Star Wars fans as the final installment of the mega franchise Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker will be available in 4K HDR on Rakuten TV.  With stunning visual effects and rocket-fueled action sequences, this final chapter is an exciting finale to the Star Wars saga.   

And viewers who want to take it back to the very beginning, can fully immerse themselves by watching all nine Star Wars movies, which Rakuten TV are offering from 13^th – 26^th April for the perfect Easter treat.

Fans of gritty drama will be engrossed in the controversial Blue Story, starring BAFTA-rising star winner Michael Ward. An honest coming-of-age story, Blue Story tells the tragic tale of two best friends from different areas of London who are caught up in violent gang rivalry between postcodes. Based on a trilogy of short films from his own experiences, the film is directed by YouTube star Andrew Onwubolu aka Rapman and caused a stir when it was released in UK cinemas. 

For lighter viewing film fans can join Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillian, Jack Black and Danny DeVito in their latest adventure in Jumanji: The Next Level, available in 4K HDR. The gang are back in a new game with new rules, where they have to face new challenges to save themselves and the land from new menaces. This light-hearted, entertaining caper is a recipe for fun and buffoonery.
