Louis Leterrier confirms involvement in Now You See Me sequel

29 August 2013

Following the announcement of a sequel to this summer's sleeper hit Now You See Me, it has emerged that Director Louis Leterrier will be back in the Director's chair for the untitled sequel.

Speaking to Coming Soon, Leterrier revealed that he is "coming up with the story, the plot, the everything, the twist and the new characters" explaining "It was always at least a diptych, two movies, to tell one long story, I'm very much involved in it. I don't know if it's going to be my next movie. I know we want to do it pretty fast but I might be able to do another movie in between."

Leterrier also revealed that the origin ending to the film which will be included on the Blu-ray and DVD was designed to set up the sequel but removed it fearing that it would give the movie "sequelitis".

Coming to Blu-ray and DVD on October 28, Now You See Me features Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Morgan Freeman, Isla Fisher, Jesse Eisenberg, Michael Caine, Mélanie Laurent, Elias Koteas, Michael Kelly, Lonnie Rashied 'Common' Lynn Jr. and Dave Franco.
