Lucas Till explains Havok won’t be a team player in X-Men: Days of Future Past

02 August 2013

He'll return to his role of Alex Summers aka Havok in Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past and Lucas Till has opened up about the role in the eagerly awaited superhero ensemble.

Speaking to iamROGUE the actor hinted that the mutant will be fighting in the Vietnam War with the US military but insisted that he will not be a team player in the story explaining "Ambiguity is his thing. The ambiguity comes from a place of being a liability. He can't control his power. He famously can't control his power for a lot of his arc.

That's the reason he is never on the good side, because he doesn't want to hurt anyone, but he's never really been a bad guy. Or he has been but it was sort of Machiavellian, it was a ploy to get on the bad side and undermine them.

I think Havok always has a good heart. But he's definitely not playing for any team necessarily in this one."

Based on the celebrated comic book storyine of the same name, X-Men: Days of Future Past will feature Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman, Ellen Page, Anna Paquin, Shawn Ashmore, Halle Berry, Daniel Cudmore, Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy, Booboo Stewart, Fan Bingbing, Adan Canto and Evan Peters.
