Lucasfilm chief Kathleen Kennedy says Phil Lord and Christopher Miller’s Han Solo will be closer to a heist or Western

Following the news that Game of Thrones favourite Emilia Clarke has joined the cast of the stand alone Han Solo outing from Lucasfilm, it has been revealed that the Alden Ehrenreich vehicle will be closer to a Heist or Western-type feel.
Speaking to Variety, Lucasfilm chief Kathleen Kennedy explained "This moves closer to a heist or Western-type feel, we've talked about [Frederic] Remington and those primary colours that are used in his paintings defining the look and feel of the film."
Given the roguish nature of Han Solo, a Western seems a perfect fit, will we see “the mother of dragons” on a heist with Han Solo and Chewie? Only time will tell.
Coming to Cinemas on May 25 2018 under the Direction by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, and Written by Star Wars legend Han Solo will also feature Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian.
The next entry in the Star Wars Universe will be Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and speaking about the film, Kennedy described it as more of a World War II-style adventure, and revealed that it would be the first Star Wars movie WITHOUT an opening crawl.
