Lumos hosts star-studded virtual gala to improve lives of children globally

For the first time ever, we will be hosting a global virtual gala to raise funds to support our work to ensure that all children grow up in safe and loving families.

You can still register for this special event on Saturday 2 October 2021 (3:30-4:30pm EST / 8.30-9.30pm GMT) and join award-winning actor Alec Baldwin and Lumos president and founder, author J.K. Rowling, who will be reading from The Tales of Beedle the Bard in a global exclusive. Other special guests include Harry Potter stars Jason Isaacs, Evanna Lynch and Bonnie Wright, star of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Noma Dumezweni, and musicians Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Peter Bence.

Lumos’ virtual gala will bring together valued supporters, young advocates, celebrity friends and fans for a vibrant gala programme in support of a better future – where every child is raised in a safe, loving home, supported by family to help them thrive.

With a mix of special performances and inspiring stories about Lumos’ work, it is set to be a magical night. The event will also feature the inaugural Richard Robinson Illumination Award, presented by J.K. Rowling in recognition of young self-advocates who are raising their voices to change the world.
