Marvel Studios’ DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE Starring Ryan Reynolds And Hugh Jackman Surpasses $1 Billion At The Global Box Office
Marvel Studios' “Deadpool & Wolverine” has crossed the $1B mark at the Global Box Office, becoming the 31st film from The Walt Disney Studios (including 3 Fox films pre-acquisition) and the 11th title in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (including 2 for Sony) to reach this milestone. With Inside Out 2 and Deadpool & Wolverine, Disney now has the top 2 movies of the year and back-to-back $1B hits, the only studio ever to release back-to-back $1B films in a given year.
In its third weekend the film grossed a further £4.08M in the UK and Ireland bringing its cumulative total as of today to £43.67M, currently the 2nd biggest film of 2024 in the UK and Ireland with only Inside Out 2 ahead (£54.3M). In addition, it has become the 5th highest grossing superhero film ever in EMEA (overtaking Dark Knight Rises). It is the 2nd highest R-rated release of all-time globally, having just passed Oppenheimer ($975M).
