Mary Elizabeth Winstead joins John Goodman in Dan Trachtenberg’s The Cellar

Make It Happen star Mary Elizabeth Winstead has joined Dan Trachtenberg's microbudget thriller The Cellar opposite Hollywood legend John Goodman.

Variety reports that The Cellar was previously titled Valencia, the film centres around a woman who wakes up after a car accident to find herself in a cellar with a man who claims the world has been devastated by a nuclear attack.

Best known for as the director of short fan film Portal: No Escape, Trachtenberg was linked last year to the long-gestating adaptation of Brian K Vaughan and Pia Guerra's acclaimed comic Y: The Last Man, The Cellar will begin shooting in the autumn.

Winstead will next be seen in Michael Cuesta's Kill the Messenger alongside Jeremy Renner and Michael Sheen which debuts in the UK n March 6 2015.
