Mary-Louise Parker wanted for R.I.P.D.

20 August 2011

She last appeared on the big screen in RED and is probably best known for her long running role of Nancy Botwin on television favourite Weeds and now it has emerged that Mary-Louise Parker is set to reteam with Robert Schwentke for the Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges starring R.I.P.D.

The beautiful star is in final negotiations to play Procter who overseas the titular department and explains to Reynolds what the deal is after his character dies, a role that was initially offered to Jodie Foster but she turned it down.

The impressive cast also includes Kevin Bacon and Stephanie Szostak in a film based on the comic by Peter M. Lenkov and sees a recently slain cop joins a team of undead police officers working for the Rest in Peace Department and tries to find the man who murdered him.

Filming is said to start next month in Boston for a June 2012 release.
