De Paul Shares His Cannes and Red Carpet Experience with Supermodel Bella Hadid

The delightful and comedic short film "Matty Boy," starring two-time consecutive Emmy® winner Vincent De Paul, was named “Best Drama Comedy Film” at the 2021 Global Film Awards (GSF). Andres Aquino, GSF founder and director, made the announcement during the 6th Annual GSF Awards Gala in Cannes, France.

Filmed on location in London, "Matty Boy," directed by Dr. Shahid Kamal and co-written and produced by Dr. Samir Srivastava, has earned worldwide critical praise. It has garnered 135 international awards and 12 best actor awards for De Paul.

The 74th Cannes Film Festival attracted filmmakers from around the globe and celebrated excellence in cinema and new media content. De Paul stated it was a privilege to participate in the glitzy festivities and accept a prestigious prize for his work.

“I was thrilled to be in the company of so many creative storytellers with amazing films with compelling narratives,” De Paul said. “I discover new gems at Cannes every season. This year was even more special to enjoy with my fellow American filmmakers, like award-winning actress Kira Reed Lorsch and co-producer of ‘The Genius of Gianni Versace’ Christian Filippella.”

De Paul shared a few unforgettable experiences while attending exclusive parties, film screenings, and special events. He co-hosted the 2021 Forbes I-Success Awards ceremony at Villa Cannes with Susan Beischel, CEO of worldwide the luxury lifestyle brand SKIN.

De Paul also shared a humorous Cannes memory with super model and philanthropist Bella Hadid who stunned the red carpet by wearing a breathtaking Schiaparelli gown.

"She told me, ‘Vincent, I would re-design your tuxedo by cutting off the sleeves. It is so hot.’ Only at Cannes do you have those great moments like this.” De Paul stated. “We laughed and later enjoyed Moretti's 'Tre Piani (Three Floors),' which was magnificent. I am now rethinking my suiting style for next year."

Following Cannes, De Paul will play restaurateur Gian Carlo in his next film "Love on the Rock," directed by Matt Shapira and shot on location in Malta. The faith-based family film stars David A.R. White, Jeff Fahey, Laurianne Gilleron, Golden Globe nominee Steven Bauer, Kira Reed Lorsch, and Matthew Marsden.

De Paul is equally excited for the releases of his two more upcoming films: "God's Not Dead - We the People," lensed by Vance Null, and can be seen in theaters on October 5, 2021 in select cities.

Next is "The Welder," directed by David Liz. The modern day Frankenstein thriller will be screened during the Raindance Film Festival and the Popcorn Frights Film Festival on August 5, 2021 and 9:00 p.m. at the Silverspot Cinema Coconut Creek.

Now on Amazon Prime, De Paul plays Miami billionaire Derek Rossi in an all-star ensemble cast for the film “Secret Society,” directed by Jamal Hill and stars Vivica A. Fox, Reyna Love, and Erica Pinkett and Jeremy Meeks.
