Meet Warner Bros. and DC Comics’s Suicide Squad

Following much rumour and speculation, it has been confirmed that the the cast of the highly anticipated super villain team up film from Warner Bros. and DC Comics will comprise of Jared Leto, Will Smith, Tom Hardy, Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney and Cara Delevingne.

Directed by David Ayer, the Suicide Squad will see Smith as Deadshot, Tom Hardy as Rick Flagg, Robbie as Harley Quinn, Courtney as Boomerang, Delevingne as Enchantress and Leto as the iconic Batman super villain The Joker.

Reports indicate that Jesse Eisenberg may also show up in the film as Lex Luthor, reprising his role from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Warner Bros. President Greg Silverman said in a statement "The Warner Bros. roots are deep on this one, We look forward to seeing this terrific ensemble, under David Ayer's amazing guidance, give new meaning to what it means to be a villain and what it means to be a hero."

Based on the DC Comic, Suicide Squad are a team of super villains who are organised by the US government to work together as a black ops team in exchange for redemption.

Set for release on August 5 2016 in the US with a UK release date yet to be announced, filming begins in Toronto next April with Charles Roven and Richard Suckle set to produce, Suicide Squad
