Mel B Flutters in to the UK Gala Screening of Tinker Bell and the Legend of the Neverbeast
Today Disney sprinkled Fairy Dust over London’s Leicester Square for the Gala Screening of TINKER BELL AND THE LEGEND OF THE NEVERBEAST, at the Vue West End. The celebrity event gave the film its debut ahead of its release in cinemas nationwide this coming Friday.
Celebrity guests included Mel B, who has lent her voice to a new character in the film, KT Tunstall, who features on the film’s soundtrack, Michelle Heaton, Imogen Thomas, Sarah Beeney and Angela Griffin, who, along with hundreds of other invited guests, were treated to a magical experience including face painting, fairy wing design, balloon modelling and a petting zoo that celebrated the animal themes in TINKER BELL AND THE LEGEND OF THE NEVERBEAST. “Fury, kind of suits me” said Mel B on her character within the film, a feisty Scout Fairy. “My character has attitude. It’s like a mini me!”
TINKER BELL AND THE LEGEND OF THE NEVERBEAST marks a return to Pixie Hollow for Disney. The new heart-warming adventure explores an ancient myth of a fabled creature whose distant roar sparks the curiosity of Tinker Bell’s good friend Fawn (voice of Ginnifer Goodwin), an animal fairy who’s not afraid to break the rules to help an animal in need.
But this animal—massive and strange with glowing green eyes—is not really welcome in Pixie Hollow, and the scout fairies are determined to capture the mysterious beast before it destroys their home. Fawn, who sees a tender heart beneath his gruff exterior, must convince Tink (voice of Mae Whitman) and the girls to risk everything to rescue the NeverBeast before time runs out.
Directed by Steve Loter (“Kim Possible”) and produced by Michael Wigert (“Secret of the Wings”), “Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeast” also features the voice talents of Mae Whitman as Tinker Bell, Ginnifer Goodwin as Fawn, Rosario Dawson as Nyx, Angelica Huston as Queen Clairon and Mel B as Fury the feisty scout fairy.
