02 October 2011

Mia Wasikowska who can currently be seen in the title role of Jane Eyre has revealed that her role in Tim Burton's Alice in wonderland was the most difficult kind of acting.

The Australian native says that the use of green screen technology on the film meant that she often found herself lost "It was the best education - seeing how Tim worked, learning from him and absorbing the whole environment.

The green screen was very challenging as you can't judge what's happening. You rely on people telling you what kind of atmosphere you are in. It's the most difficult kind of acting. You have to trust the director because you can definitely feel lost."

However the sought after young talent says it helped her learn a lot about working in the movie business adding "It was exposure on a level I'd never experienced before, which is a positive thing."

Wasikowska will next be seen opposite Henry Hopper in Gus Van Sant's Restless when it comes to cinemas on October 21. Following that she'll be seen alongside Hollywood legend Glenn Close in Albert Nobbs and is currently filming Stoker with Nicole Kidman.
