Michael Chiklis to go mano a mano with Jason Statham in Parker

He starrred as Ben Grimm aka The Thing in the Fantastic Four films, and he's best known for his role as tough cop Detective Vic Mackey in The Sheild and word is that Michael Chiklis is set to go mano a mano with Jason Statham in Parker.
Based on the novel series by Donald E Westlake, Parker sees Statham as the title character an honourable theif who only steals from those who can afford it. He is known for his cunning, guile and occasional reliance on violence.
Chiklis needed no negotiation and snapped up the role of the tough bad guy who crosses Parker, while Jennifer Lopez is still in talks for the female lead. Taylor Hackford is on directing duties and opes to start shooting in New Orleans in August.
