Michael Keaton and J.K. Simmons won’t meet King Kong in Jordan Vogt-Roberts’ Kong: Skull Island

With a reimagining of the King Kong story coming our way, it has been reported that J.K. Simmons and Michael Keaton won't be leading the adventure to Skull Island.
Deadline report that scheduling conflicts have meant the Oscar winning Simmons and the Oscar nominee Keaton have had to depart the hotly anticipated project.
Directed by The Kings of Summer's Jordan Vogt-Roberts, Kong: Skull Island will see MCU favourite Tom Hiddleston star whilst the hunt is on for replacements for Simmons and Keaton.
Simmons will next be seen in Gavin O'Connor’s The Accountant with Ben Affleck in February and will lend his voice to Kai in Kung Fu Panda 3 which is due out in March next year. Whilst Keaton can currently be heard as Walter Nelson in Minions and has Thomas McCarthy’s Spotlight in post production and is filming his role of Ray Kroc in John Lee Hancock’s The Founder.
