Michelle Monaghan joins Jeremy Renner in Better Living Through Chemistry

13 February 2011

Gorgeous Eagle Eye and Gone Baby Gone siren Michelle Monaghan has reportedly signed on to appear with Jeremy Renner and Jennifer Garner in Better Living Through Chemistry.

The drug fuelled story written and directed by David Posamentier and Geoff Moore landed in the last year’s Black List of best unproduced screenplay has also enticed Dame Judi Dench to sign on for an unknown role.

With a tentative release sometime in 2013, Posamentier and Moore have $8 million to play with and plan to shoot the film in Washington or Georgia. The story will see Renner as a small-town pharmacist stuck in a largely loveless marriage who gets a new lease on life when he strikes up an affair with an experimental, pill-popping trophy wife. More on this as it develops, with the cast shaping up we can expect some more news soon.

As for Monaghan, she will next be seen alongside Prince of Persia hunk Jake Gylennhaal in Source Code when it hits cinemas in April.
