Michelle Williams says Oz: The Great and Powerful has been a child friendly experience

20 November 2011

With My Week with Marilyn coming to cinemas next week, gorgeous Hollywood siren Michelle Williams who plays the Hollywood icon has spoken out about her upcoming role in Sam Raimi's Wizard of Oz prequel; Oz: The Great and Powerful.

The film began shooting in July and is set for a March 2013 release and Williams told The Los Angeles Times that the experience of working on Oz has been one of the most child-friendly productions in which she has taken part.

"It's been such an amazing move for us as a family. It's a really happy place to go to work and a happy place for her to come visit.

Often - the Marilyn sets and the Blue Valentine sets - they aren't really ideal places for children. She can still come visit, but she can't really get comfortable and hang out for a while. This really integrates my life and my work in a great way."

Oz: The Great and Powerful comes to cinemas on March 8 2013 and stars a stellar cast of Williams with James Franco, Mila Kunis,, Rachel Weisz, Zach Braff, Joey King, Bruce Campbell, Bill Cobbs, Abigail Breslin, Ted Raimi and Tony Cox.
