The release of Don't Be Afraid of the Dark is fast approaching and to mark the upcoming release of the Guillermo del Toro written and produced horror remake, The Fan Carpet have added some new photos featuring a terrified Katie Holmes and the adorable Bailee Madison.

Don't Be Afraid of the Dark is comic book artist-writer Troy Nixey directorial debut and centres on a young girl, sent to live with her father and his new girlfriend, who discovers sinister creatures that live underneath the stairs.

Released in UK cinemas on October 7, Don't Be Afraid of the Dark also features the talents of British acting heavyweight Guy Pearce and New Zealand born Lost alum Alan Dale.
