New Bond film on hold

Bad news for James Bond fans. A sequel to Quantum Of Solace has been put on hold.

The reason for the delay is due to the film's production company MGM - which is in the lookout for a new owner. Until then, all of its properties including the James Bond franchise and The Lord of the Rings prequel will have to wait till their financial situation is resolved.

Bond producer Barbara Broccoli told Total Film, "Well, our timeline's a little up in the air what with the situation at MGM, so we have to be flexible.

"We just don't know enough about the situation to comment, but we know it's uncertain."
