Nintendo set to bring Mega Man to the big screen with 20th Century Fox and Chernin Entertainment

04 September 2015

Whilst Nintendo have been hesitant to bring their properties to the big screen following the terrible Super Mario Bros. in 1993, it looks like the gaming giant are looking to bring video game icon Mega Man to the big screen!

Tracking Board report that the star of one of the most renowned game franchises of all time will be the focus of a new sci-fi action adventure.

Whilst details of the Mega Man film are limited at the moment, we do know that it will be produced by Nintendo, working alongside 20th Century Fox and Chernin Entertainment.

Mega Man was first introduced in 1987 for Nintendo by Capcom, the iconic character was known as Rockman in Japan, and it has sold over 30 million copies, proving to be extremely successful.

A compilation of the Blue Bomber's first six NES adventures entitled Mega Man Legacy Collection was released on PS4, Xbox One and PC last month.
