Oldboy sweetheart Elizabeth Olsen confirmed as Scarlet Witch in Joss Whedon’s Avengers: Age of Ultron
After months of speculation, it has been confirmed that Oldboy star Elizabeth Olsen will take on the role of Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch in Joss Whedon's Avengers: Age of Ultron.
In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Marvel Universe veteran Samuel L. Jackson mentioned her casting, stating "I don't think we begin shooting before March of next year, I know we're shooting in London, that James Spader is Ultron and going to be the bad guy, and that we added Ms Olsen.
But I don't know what she's doing, if she's on the inside or the outside. I haven't seen a script."
Olsen returns to cinemas with the aforementioned Oldboy on December 6 alongside Jackson, Josh Brolin and Sharlto Copley, and has Gareth Edwards's Godzilla in post production alongside Aaron Taylor-Johnson who is rumoured to play her characters brother Pietro Maximoff aka Quicksilver in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
