12 January 2012

Rising star Isabelle Fuhrman who turned heads in her role of Esther in Jaume Collet-Serra's 2009 thriller Orphan is on course to land a role in M. Night Shyamalan's sci-fi epic After Earth.

After Earth used to carry the title 1000 A.E. and will see Will and Jaden Smith as a father and son duo who crash land on an uninhabitable Earth, with his father injured, it’s up to the boy to prove his mettle and rescue them both.

If Fuhrman signs on she'll play Rayna, the best friend of Jaden's character and will start shooting alongside Sophie Okonedo and Zoe Kravitz in Pennsylvania and Utah this coming March.

After Earth is slated for a June 7 release next year, but before that she'll be seen in the role of Clove in the Jennifer Lawrence starring, Gary Ross directed, eagerly anticipated The Hunger Games on March 23.
