Oscar Isaac lands villainous role of Apocalypse in Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Apocalypse

He'll soon be seen in Star Wars: Episode VII: The Force Awakens and word is that sought after actor Oscar Isaac has been cast as the main antagonist in Bryan Singer's X-Men: Apocalypse.
Deadline reports that Twentieth Century Fox has closed a deal with the Inside Llewyn Davis favourite to star in the eagerly awaited X-Men: Days of Future Past follow up as the titular villain alongside returning cast members Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and James McAvoy.
In Marvel Comics lore Apocalypse is a mutant who is both ancient and immortal and is one of the classic enemies of the X-Men series that believes in survival of the fittest.
Earlier this week, it was reported that X-Men: Apocalypse will focus on the romance between Mystique and Magneto, the hotly anticipated sequel will be released in the UK on May 19 2016.
