Oscar winning Actress Nicole Kidman enters talks to join Gal Gadot in DC Extended Universe’s WONDER WOMAN

03 November 2015

Sought after Oscar winning Actress Nicole Kidman is the latest A-list star to join the DC Extended Universe by entering talks to join Gal Gadot and Chris Pine in the eagerly anticipated Wonder Woman.

The Wrap report that there are very few details about her role at the moment, only that she's playing "a high-ranking Amazonian warrior" with early speculation suggesting she could be playing Hyppolyta, Diana Prince's biological mother and the Queen of the Amazons in Wonder Woman comic lore.

This isn’t Kidman’s first foray into the DC Universe, she starred as Chase Meridian opposite Val Kilmer in 1995's Batman Forever.

Gadot will debut as Wonder Woman in next year’s release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, she will then appear as the Amazonian warrior in the Patty Jenkins directed solo outing in 2017.

Star Trek franchise hero Pine will play Wonder Woman's love interest Steve Trevor, a US intelligence officer who crash lands on Paradise Island.

Wonder Woman has been written by Jason Fuchs and is due to hit Cinemas in June 2017.

Kidman currently has Jason Bateman’s The Family Fang, Werner Herzog’s Queen of the Desert, Kim Farrant’s Strangerland and Michael Grandage’s Genius awaiting release and Billy Ray’s Secret in Their Eyes set to be released next March.
