Oscars 2012 nominations are here

24 January 2012

The nominees for the 84th Academy Awards have been revealed today in Los Angeles. The films leading the nominations are Hugo with 11 nominations, The Artist with 10, War Horse has 6 nominations, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo also has 6; The Descendants has 5 as does Moneyball. The Academy Awards ceremony will be held on February 26, 2012, at the Kodak Theatre in LA.

While Hugo received 11 nominations, it's an unsurprising and well deceived win for The Artist which received 10 nominations, but they are in the biggest categories.

Disappointingly Drive was completely left out as was We Need To Talk About Kevin and Shame as well as no Oscar nod for Charlize Theron's Young Adult or Alan Rickman for his preformance in the Harry Potter franchise.
