Pan villain Hugh Jackman would seriously consider the iconic role of James Bond

06 September 2015

Whilst he returns to cinemas with Joe Wright’s Pan next month, sought after Hollywood heavyweight Hugh Jackman has said that he would "seriously consider" taking the iconic role of James Bond 007 if asked.

Talking on Australian talk show The Project, Jackman said that he "sort of [has]" been asked to play Bond in the past, and that he would be up for taking the role if asked today.

Jackman revealed that he was asked when he was about to return as Logan aka Wolverine in X-Men 2 explaining "Just before Daniel [Craig] took over... at the time I was just about to do X-Men 2 and I was like 'I don't think it's the right time' - but it was not an easy one for me to give up."

The next James Bond adventure entitled Spectre hits cinemas on October 26 and features Daniel Craig, Ben Whishaw, Christoph Waltz, Dave Bautista, Jesper Christensen, Monica Bellucci, Naomie Harris, Ralph Fiennes, Rory Kinnear, Léa Seydoux and Andrew Scott.

As well as Pan, Jackman has Dexter Fletcher’s Eddie the Eagle with Christopher Walken and Gary Goddard and Bryan Singer’s Broadway 4D with Christina Aguilera in post production.
