Paramount Pictures unveils the title artwork and First Look at Optimus Prime in Michael Bay’s TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT

Paramount Pictures have unveiled the title for the eagerly anticipated fifth entry in the critically-maligned but uber financially successful Transformers franchise; TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT from returning filmmaker Michael Bay.

The title was announced on the Instagram page for the series with a cryptic sweep across Optimus Prime's face revealing the title of Transformers: The Last Knight with the caption “Calling all #Autobots: Optimus Prime is ready for battle. Are you? #transformers”

Earlier this year Bay suggested it was time for him to pass over the Transformers to another director saying "Transformers, I still have a great time. It's fun to do a movie that 100 million people will see, but this is the last one. I have to pass the reins to someone else."

Written by Andrew Barrer, Lindsey Beer, Gabriel Ferrari, Matt Holloway, Art Marcum, Ken Nolan, Zak Penn, Jeff Pinkner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet, Transformers: The Last Knight starts production in June with the legendary Peter Cullen returning to the iconic role of Optimus Prime with Mark Wahlberg returning as Cade Yeager and welcomes 100 Things to Do Before High School star Isabela Moner as the franchise's new female lead.
