Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstun to write a new instalment of the Halloween franchise
The Halloween franchise is one beast that will not die, at least Dimension Films won’t let it. They have now hired the guys for Saw, regular writers of the franchise Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstun, to write a new script.
This move is all part of a renewed attempt to put out another film after several years hiatus on Michael Myers’ masked slashing. The last attempt by Patrick Lussier and Todd Farmer to develop a Halloween 3D never left the ground. Dimension FIlms are hoping that now with Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstun Myers will be killing in new and fresh ways.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, nothing has been revealed about what that new angle might be, but according to a the magazine’s sources this one can’t yet be classified as a remake, reboot or reimagining, but instead as a "recalibration".
