Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides shooting in 3D

18 May 2010

It has been announced that the latest Jack Sparrow adventure will be shot in Disney Digital 3D, no shock there as most big budget action adventures have to have the third dimension these days.

The good thing is the Rob Marshall directed 'Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides' is being shot with the technology, rather than the shoddy post-production that befell 'Clash Of The Titans' where the characters looked as though they were next to their own beards.

On Stranger Tides will see Jack Sparrow searching for the fountain of youth and will feature Blackbeard (the wonderful Ian McShane – who would have thought Lovejoy could be so successful in Hollywood) and Penelope Cruz as the villain’s daughter.

Despite the late announcement that it'll be 3D, it is reported to still be on course for a May 20th 2011 release in cinemas.
