Rhys Ifans was in town for the premiere of ‘Mr. Nice’

06 October 2010

Welsh actor Rhys Ifans was in town for the premiere of his new film 'Mr. Nice'. Braving the weather, the popular actor was joined on the red carpet by a host of stars including 'Made in Dagenham' beauty Jaime Winstone.

Mr. Nice is the story of iconic drugs baron Howard Marks aka Mr Nice. 43 aliases, 89 phone lines, 25 companies worldwide and over one million books sold. Among his associates are members of the Mafia, CIA, IRA and MI6.  Nuclear physicist, marijuana connoisseur, school teacher, money launderer, gentleman, fugitive and spy; raconteur, travel agent, writer, philosopher of science, rock promoter, public speaker, board game appreciator and the biggest dope smuggler on the planet... meet Howard Marks.

From the small town of Kenfig in South Wales to Oxford University, Germany, London, Ireland, Pakistan, Amsterdam, Thailand, Ibiza, Majorca, Manila, America and jail we follow Howard’s prodigious rise.  And fall.  This is the frequently hilarious, occasionally sad, and often surreal story of Howard’s life so far.

Rhys will next be seen in the epic finale of the world wide phenomenon that is Harry Potter when the two part film event of the decade kicks of with part one to 'Deathly Hallows on November 19th with part two arriving on July 15th 2011.

Meanwhile, the gorgeous Jaime Winstone will next be seen in the Jack Davies directed 'Eve' where she plays the character of Rachel. The film is complete but no word as yet on a release date.
