Ricky Gervais threatens to pull no punches at the 68th Golden Globes

16 January 2011

The 68th Golden Globe awards are tonight and host Ricky Gervais has threatened to pull no punches when it comes to the A-list stars.

Gervais returns to present the glitzy ceremony for the second year running having hit the headlines in 2010 with his jokes and putdowns of the stars. He said "I don't think I was too bad. I don't think I went far enough, the last thing I want to do is genuinely offend anyone. I couldn't live with myself but there's something in me that really is excited. I like the jeopardy that it's live and there's a quarter-of-a-billion people watching and a room full of the most powerful people in the world. That's what gives me the adrenaline rush, thinking it could be the end of my career."

The Golden Globe winning multi talented comedian is currently filming the Emily Blunt starring The Muppets. The family comedy is written by co star Jason Segel and will arrive in cinemas on February 17 2012 and sees Kermit the Frog and his muppet pals put on a show to save their old theater.
