Rising star Elle Fanning enjoys make believe

30 December 2011

Young rising star Elle Fanning, known for films including Deja Vu, Somewhere, The Nutcracker in 3D and Super 8 has revealed that she enjoys the "make believe" aspect of acting the most.

The Twixt actress tells Teen Vogue that while she's young and has not experienced many things in life she is able to take on multi-faceted roles simply by using her imagination.

"I never really pull from experience. I just sort of make believe. That's why I like acting. You can create or imagine anything. It's not like I've fallen in love but I've had crushes and things."

She also talked a little bit about her fashion sense, saying that she is no hurry to look older than her 14 years adding "I'd much rather look like a 2 year old than a 21 year old."

Fanning will next be seen alongside Good Will Hunting's Matt Damon and The Avengers babe Scarlett Johansson in We Bought a Zoo on March 16 and has Twixt set to arrive in cinemas soon and will begin work on Sally Potter's Bomb with Christina Hendricks as well as Boris Damast's Vivaldi alongside Max Irons in the coming months.
