Rising star Jane Levy replaces Lily Collins in The Evil Dead

Following the news that rising star Lily Collins famed for Abduction and Priest had departed the remake of The Evil Dead, word is that fellow rising star Jane Levy has stepped in to take the lead role of Mia.

Levy who is known for television's Shameless and Suburgatory and she'll join Red Riding Hood's Shiloh Fernandez in the Diablo Cody written remake that sees Mia join a group of young people that visit an isolated forest cabin and unleash a deadly curse.

Levy will make the jump to the big screen in Josh Schwartz's Fun Size with Johnny Knoxville and Chelsea Handler on November 16, while Collins will next be seen as the titular heroine Snow White in Mirror Mirror: The Untold Adventures of Snow White on March 16.
