Robert De Niro replaces Nicolas Cage in Killing Season
Hollywood legend Robert De Niro has replaced the recently departed Nicolas Cage in the forthcoming action thriller Killing Season (formerly Shrapnel).
De Niro will face off against John Travolta in a film is based on a Black List script by Snow White And The Huntsman scribe Evan Daugherty that sees two men engage a bit of cross-country cat-and-mouse action.
De Niro will play a military veteran enjoying a relaxing break in a cabin in the Appalachian Mountains while Travolta will play the European tourist who befriends De Niro's character and is revealed to be a vengeful Serbian soldier out for blood.
Ghost Rider and When In Rome director Mark Steven Johnson will be directing, replacing the departed John McTiernan.
De Niro will next be seen in Garry Marshall's ensemble romantic comedy New Year's Eve when it comes to cinemas on December 9.
