Ron Howard set to direct David Guggenheim’s superhero drama 364

10 September 2011

While his mammoth undertaking of The Dark Tower is stuck in development hell, Ron Howard has picked up a new project in the form of superhero drama 364.

Written by Safe House scribe David Guggenheim, 364 is set in a world where super powers are dished out for one day a year - the number of the title refers to the days a normal guy spends thinking about what he's going to do with those abilities.

Universal pre-emptively bought the script based on a pitch from former US Weekly editor Guggenheim.

Guggenheim's Safe House that stars Ryan Reynolds and Denzel Washington just wrapped and is set for a February 24 2012 release here in the UK and also stars Vera Farmiga, Robert Patrick, Brendan Gleeson, Liam Cunningham and Sam Shepard.
