Russell Howard And Dr Cerys Morgan Launch The Felix Foundation In Memory Of Their Son, With O2 Charity Gala Announced
Russell Howard and his wife, Dr Cerys Morgan, have launched The Felix Foundation in memory of their son Felix, turning an unimaginable personal loss into a mission to improve the care and support available to other families.
The foundation has been established to fund specialist training, equipment and hospital spaces that improve care around premature birth, stillbirth and neonatal loss, with a particular focus on compassionate bereavement care.
For Howard and Morgan, the foundation is deeply personal, but its purpose reaches far beyond their own experience.
Rather than simply telling Felix's story, they are building something in his name that has the potential to make an enormous difference to families experiencing some of the most difficult moments imaginable.
The foundation describes its purpose simply:
“Meeting loss with compassionate care.”
Its work will include funding specialist bereavement training for healthcare professionals, improving hospital spaces and supporting the people working directly with families affected by premature birth, stillbirth and neonatal death.
And that work is already moving forward.

RUSSELL HOWARD & FRIENDS HEAD TO THE O2
The Felix Foundation has announced a major charity stand-up gala at The O2 in London on Monday, February 8, 2027, bringing together an extraordinary collection of British and international comedy talent.
Howard will be joined by Michael McIntyre, Aisling Bea, Mo Gilligan, John Bishop, Michelle Wolf, Guz Khan, Greg Davies and Jimmy Carr for an evening of live comedy raising money for the foundation.
The event begins at 7pm, with funds raised supporting the foundation's work providing compassionate bereavement training and specialist facilities for families affected by premature birth, stillbirth and neonatal death.
It's an extraordinary line-up for an organisation at the beginning of its journey, but also a demonstration of the support surrounding Howard, Morgan and the foundation they have created in Felix's memory.
TURNING LOSS INTO SOMETHING THAT CAN HELP OTHERS
There is something incredibly powerful about what Howard and Morgan are doing.
Nothing can undo the loss of their son, nor should an organisation created in his memory ever be framed as somehow doing so.
Instead, The Felix Foundation gives his name a continuing purpose: helping make sure that when another family experiences premature birth, stillbirth or neonatal loss, the people and places around them are better equipped to provide the compassion, dignity and support they need.
Dr Cerys Morgan brings her own experience as a medical professional to that mission, while Howard is using the platform built through his career in comedy to bring attention — and now some very famous friends — to the cause.
The result is something profoundly personal becoming something capable of helping thousands of people they may never meet.
And that feels like a pretty remarkable legacy for Felix.
The Fan Carpet sends its love to Russell Howard, Dr Cerys Morgan and their family, and we'll be following the work of The Felix Foundation as it develops.
