Sandra Bullock to raise Baby Alone

Oscar winner Sandra Bullock has revealed she has adopted a baby boy in secret and now wants to raise him on her own.

According to People, Sandra and husband Jesse James began the adoption process four years ago and the baby - Louis Bardo Bullock, born in New Orleans - came home in January but they've been keeping the news a secret.

Bullock has now confirmed she will raise the child alone after beginning divorce proceedings against James following allegations of his infidelity.

Now Bullock, who won Best Actress at the awards for her performance in The Blind Side, has told People magazine she is now adopting Louis Bardo Bullock as a single parent.

The actress told the magazine: "Yes, I have filed for divorce... I'm sad and I am scared."

Bullock accelerated to fame in 1994's Speed but her career slowed in the late 1990s before she landed a supporting role in 2004's Oscar-winning Crash.
