Saoirse Ronan is the fairest of them all
Here's Saoirse Ronan at the Hanna press conference in Beverly Hills on Sunday looking very grown up in a cream jacket. Does anyone else find Saoirse Ronan completely fascinatingly lovely? There is something so grown up and wise about the sixteen year old, who every time we see her either on the red carpet or at press conferences, comes across as one of the most grounded and serious young actresses we've ever met. She also has this very fair and innocent look about her, which is probably why Tarsem Singh, director of 'The Brothers Grimm: Snow White', wants her to be his Snow White.
Despite her blonde hair and blue eyes, as opposed to Snow White's traditional darker colourings, the director is in talks with the Lovely Bones star, who has already cast Julia Roberts as the evil Queen, and Social Network star Armie Hammer in the role of the prince. (He's the buff rower guy that played both twins)
Apparently this will be a very grown up version of the story with a comedic twist, where Snow White teams up with the seven dwarfs to take back 'what's rightfully hers' after her wicked stepmother kills her father and takes over the kingdom.
A very grown up role for a very grown up young lady.
'The Brothers Grimm: Snow White' is due for a summer 2012 release in the US, with hopefully a UK date to follow soon.
