11 February 2012

With Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman's Lovelace in post production Sex and the City icon Sarah Jessica Parker has spoken out about the daunting task of taking on the role of Gloria Steinem.

Parker stepped into the role at the last minute, when Demi Moore due to being hospitalised and tells Access Hollywood that she had very little time to prepare "It was difficult because, obviously, the circumstances are not ideal, I obviously conveyed that to the filmmakers and that I was aware and I was sorry for the reasons that they had to reach out to me.

Also, of course, the somewhat daunting task of playing somebody with very little time [to prepare for] who was obviously such an important person in the women's movement, but also played such a pivotal role in Linda's life."

Lovelace follows Linda as she films Deep Throat, and chronicles her abusive relationship with Chuck Traynor and her eventual leading of the feminist anti-pornography movement and features a fantastic cast of Amanda Seyfried, Peter Sarsgaard, Juno Temple, Wes Bentley, Hank Azaria, Chris Noth, Robert Patrick, Sharon Stone, Adam Brody, Eric Roberts, Chloë Sevigny, Debi Mazar and James Franco.
