Scary Movie 5 set for April 2012 release

The Scary Movie franchise looks set to add another instalment to its ranks with the reveal that Dimension Films have Scary Movie 5 in the pipeline.
What's more original cast members Anthony Anderson, Regina Hall and Kevin Hart have all had offers to return for the film with early reports suggesting it would be a remake however, with the hiring of The Comebacks writers Stephen Leff, John Aboud and Michael Colton it looks as though it'll be a straight sequel.
No word yet if franchise star Anna Faris will return for her role of Cindy Campbell but Dimension Films have set a release date of April 20 2012.
