Shame’s Michael Fassbender says there are recognisable creatures in Prometheus

28 November 2011

It's the worse kept secret in Hollywood, but Michael Fassbender has confirmed that the upcoming Ridley Scott sci-fi epic Prometheus is linked to 1979 cult classic Alien.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly the Shame star revealed that the film will feature recognisable creatures "There's definitely a link to Alien, there's creatures in it that you'll recognise, but that's only one tiny facet of what's going on, I think I should leave it at that."

According to Damon Lindelof who wrote the screenplay recently revealed that Fassbender will be portraying a robot, could this be a precursor to Bishop from the 1979 film? Who knows.

According to Rafe Spall, Scott has employed security guards to patrol the set, so only time will tell.
Prometheus features Fassbender with Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Noomi Rapace, Guy Pearce and Patrick Wilson.
