Shock as Joss Stone murder plot uncovered in sleepy Devon

15 June 2011

Two unknown men have been arrested outside the home of Joss Stone, the 24 year old Brit soul singer, dubbed the white Aretha Franklin and friends of Tom Cruise, with a body bag and weapons in their car.

Neighbours of the soul singers rural property in East Devon alerted the police when they saw two men acting suspiciously in a red Fiat Punto near her home in the Cullompton. So define suspicious, well the two men were arrested with swords, rope's, a body bag, maps and aerial photo's of the singer's property, and were quite rightly arrested on suspicion of robbery and murder of the young star, worth an estimated £9 million. However after going to all that effort you would think the two idiots would at least have planned a murder/kidnap/robbery while the singer was at home. As it happened, good fortune meant that Stone was not at home at the time, but is said to be aware of the arrests.

Detective Inspector Steve Parker, leading the investigation, said: "The two men in custody had in their possession information relating to an individual in the Cullompton area and items which lead us to suspect that they may have intended to commit a criminal offence."We're unable to say anymore at this time but I would like to thank the local residents for reporting the suspicious car." Now that's what you call neighbourhood watch.

We didn't expect to see Joss Stone in the Tudors as Anne of Cleeves, but the young, wannabe actress did a great job, and as she has made it no secret that she wants to break into acting, we're hoping to see more of her on our TV screens, if not eventually the big screen.
